Journey Through Mark

The life of Jesus is the stuff of a good story, one that the writer of Mark has likely heard time and again. But what makes this good story even better is this: It’s true.

As a friend of Peter’s, John Mark has surely heard the apostles tell the stories of all that Jesus did and said, and he’s intent on getting it down. But more than simply wanting to preserve the account, John Mark has in mind all those who still need to hear the story. His telling hits the ground running and doesn’t stop. And he’s careful to capture the events in such a way that even those who are outside the Jewish faith can grasp the significance of it all and get caught up in the adventure too.

John Mark knows that the life of Jesus isn’t just a good story, it’s good news.
