Willow Small Groups
Nothing is better than community, especially during increased times of isolation when safe spaces to process, grow, and learn are hard to come by! We believe the intentional relationships you find in a small group are the ideal place to truly belong, celebrate the joys of life, weather the storms together, and become who God made you to be.
Here's how to get started!

New Small-Group Leader Training
Welcome! We’re so glad that you’re interested in becoming a Small Group Leader! Groups exist to foster Christ-centered communities, where every person of Willow Creek can belong to a small group and be supported as a follower of Jesus. Making big church small.
We were created to be in relationship with others, but in a big church it can be difficult to know where to start. At Willow, whether you are looking for a small group or just wanting to meet some people, we make it easy by beginning where you sit in church. Each Section in our Main Auditorium has a pastor over it —a Section Leader—who leads that community toward greater connection with each other and greater connection with God
How do I get connected in a Willow South Barrington section community?
- When we are meeting regularly on the weekends, you can sit in any seating section you desire! We have pastors there to meet you and help you get connected.
- Meet the Section Leader. Meet the Section Leader or others from that particular Section. You will see people milling around the Section including the Section Leader and their welcome team. Simply ask around or look for the person with the name tag.
- Attend Section Quick Connects after a weekend service to meet others and get involved in the community.

How do small groups relate to section communities?
Many people at Willow are part of a small group—a gathering of friends that meet regularly to grow spiritually and walk alongside one another in good times and bad. Small groups often sit together during church as part of the same Section community. One of the easiest ways to get connected in a small group is by getting to know others near you in a Section community.
